When you register a Twitter account, Twitter wants you to verify your email address by sending you a confirmation email. The problem is sometimes you don’t receive their email when you use a Gmail to register your account.
So what has happened? Does their email system have errors? They actually send you an email right after you register an account in most situations. If you can’t see the email in your Gmail inbox, you can check the “Social” tab in your Gmail account.
Twitter confirmation email is put in “Social” tab in Gmail.
Where is the “Social” tab? Log in your Gmail account, click on “More” at the end of the left column, click on “Categories” and you will see the “Social” tab. You can also view all of your emails by clicking “More”, then click “All Mail”. Gmail will show all of the emails which you received.
If you use another email provider, you can search for the email in all folders including spam, junk, or bulk mail folders, as well as filters or tabs, just like you do with Gmail. If you still can’t find it, just wait a few days, then click the “Resend confirmation” link to request another verification email.
